When an admin changes settings

Saved assignment groups, staff and away status, permissions, sites, request forms and shared case options normally reach open staff workspaces within a few seconds. A lightweight version check every 30 seconds catches missed notifications. You do not need to reload your browser to see a newly created assignment group.

Only the affected information updates. Adding or renaming a group keeps your selected case, queue filter and unsent reply in place. New canned-response choices do not replace text you have written. If a group selected in a case or task draft is removed, it is marked unavailable so you can choose another group before saving.

Permissions are enforced when you act, even if your screen has not updated yet. Changing someone's role assignment ends their existing sessions, so they must sign in again.

Automatic updates while you work

InformationUsual update interval
Open case detailsAbout 5 seconds
Cases queue, notifications and operational work listsAbout 15 seconds
Overview and dashboardsAbout 30 seconds
Asset and people registers, asset health and report gaugesAbout 60 seconds
Report previewsA snapshot: choose Refresh preview for newer data

These intervals apply while the tab is visible and online. Actions can update information sooner. Reads wait for an outstanding update to finish, and repeated failures slow retries. Hidden or offline tabs pause automatic updates and catch up when you return or reconnect.

Reloading admin settings

Admin settings load when you open the page and confirm changes after saving. Another admin's save does not replace an editor you are using. For an optional manual read, choose More actions › Reload saved settings. It affects the current settings page, asks before replacing unsaved edits, and waits for active loads or saves. It never submits a save again.

If information looks out of date

  1. Check that you are online and bring the workspace tab to the foreground. Allow a few seconds for it to catch up; the regular settings fallback checks every 30 seconds.
  2. For a failed read, use the section's Retry or Try again action. An uncertain save keeps its draft; confirm the saved state before sending the change again.
  3. For an admin settings page that needs a manual reload, use More actions › Reload saved settings and review the confirmation. A full browser reload can discard unsaved work and is not required for routine settings updates.
