Scheduled cases
Cases that open themselves on a schedule for recurring work such as checks and reviews.
Recurring work (a weekly backup restore test, a monthly access review) can open its own case. Set it up under Settings › Case setup › Scheduled cases.
- When: daily, weekly (a weekday), monthly (a day of the month) or every few days, at a time in your organization's time zone.
- What: title, description, case type and priority.
- Who: an owner or a group. If the owner is away, their backup gets it.
- Checklist: optionally a workflow whose tasks are added to each new case.
Each case gets its SLA due date like any other. Use Run now to create one immediately, for example to test it, and switch a schedule off without deleting it. Schedules and assignment choices must finish loading before editing. Saves, runs and deletes are serialized and confirmed; failed deletion leaves the schedule visible. If a run or save cannot be confirmed, check the case queue or saved schedule and choose Refresh schedules before retrying to avoid creating duplicate work.
